MAKE MORE MONEY SELLING CARDS - READ THIS CAPTION AND SAVE IT . Another day, another lunatic conversation on the Ebay store. For anyone starting out selling cards on ebay, after close to 5,000 sales let me give you a few tips. . 1. Never do an auction. Set a Buy It Now price and wait. Pick a price, try it for a few days, look at the views and watchers. If you have almost zero views and watches, lower your price. Simple. . 2. Never allow Send Offer buttons on your listings. Adding that button essentially communicates to your customers, "My price is fake, I will accept less, but you need to jump through hoops to get it." You don't want or need that kind of business on a platform this large with this many buyers. . 3. If someone does decide to shoot you an offer anyways, they'll message you direct from the listing. If their offer is stupid and insulting, respond in kind (see photo on this post). If their offer is reasonable, do business if you want. Remember, if THEY want to haggle, they can initiate the extra steps and hassle. . BUT lastly... . 4. Honestly 9 times out of 10, don't accept their offer anyways. This is not a card show, and Ebay fees and shipping costs are not trivial. YOU need to shop for a better customer, rather than letting some random customer shop YOU for a better price. . TL;DR == Lower your own prices as you see fit and don't bother haggling with anyone. You'll lose more money and give up more inventory by accepting anyone's framework to a deal. If you were willing to drop the price on a card by 10% to sell it, instead just drop it by 3% and wait a week and inspect your stats. . This advice will save you thousands of dollars, like it, save it and share it to anyone who sells cards on Ebay. We're at almost 5k sales and 500 store followers with 100% satisfaction - we just kick out the idiots when they try to shop with us in ways that would be awful to our bottom line.
